Praxis
Well all the talk about the praxis test kind of has me worried! Although I am in pretty good shape with my credits, I really need to pass the praxis and get it over with. If there is one thing that hold a lot of students back in the education major it seems to be the praxis. It almost seems like a nasty word in my mind. Well when the pressure is on I usually do well so we will see whats up!

If you're talking about the Praxis 1, it's not bad. It's just hard to sit through all 3 of the tests. Also, I don't know if you know or not, but there are 2 ways to pass it. The 2 ways are on the site that you register for the test on.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
I have to take the Praxis too! I think I'm just going to take them at a Sylvan Learning Center after school is done. I'm just nervous I won't pass them and i'm going to have to take them over again. I agree that it is one thing that sets education majors back. I'm sure we will do good on them though. Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteI took the Praxis 1 and it definitely was a hassle. I did well on the test, it was just a pain to sit and take a three hour long test about grammar and math. English is never my best subject but I got really good scores in the English portions so apparently the people at Praxis like me better than my professors have. The Praxxis 2 should be a lot better cause it's content is relevant to my life.
ReplyDeleteI have to take the Praxis also so I can get into the major. One good thing about the Praxis is they have made an adjustment to the scoring. Also I believe they have changed that if you have taken the Praxis and missed a section by 3pts and have a QPA of 3.0 or higher you do not have to pay for the test again. There is a little more to it, it explains more on there website.
